Wallet address — Your Polygon, Base, or zkEVML2 wallet address is the primary identifier for your account. It is stored in our database, displayed on your public profile, and recorded in the $CASTER L1 ledger for every credit, debit, and social action.

Social-login and email — When you sign in via Google, X, Discord, Apple, GitHub, or Farcaster through Reown AppKit, we receive the email address or social identifier associated with that provider. This is used solely to derive and restore your embedded wallet address. We do not sell or share this data with third parties beyond what is necessary to provide the embedded-wallet service.

Username and profile data — Display name, username, avatar URL, bio, and privacy settings that you voluntarily enter are stored on our servers and visible on your public profile unless you enable a private account.

Posts and social activity — All posts, replies, reposts, likes, bookmarks, community memberships, and direct messages are stored on our servers. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted; we cannot read their content.

Transactions and ledger entries — Every $CASTER reward, transfer, and community fee is permanently recorded in the $CASTER L1 ledger with a HMAC-SHA256 checksum. Base Mainnet transactions (ETH, USDC, token swaps, NFT mints) are publicly visible on BaseScan.

Media uploads — Images and videos you upload to the Platform (including to Casterstream, Caster Fans, and Caster Music) are stored on our hosting infrastructure. 18+ media is stored separately and is not syndicated to the main feed.

Device and usage data — We may collect browser type, IP address, and page-level analytics (e.g., via Vercel Analytics) to monitor platform health and detect abuse. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies.

AI chat history — Conversations with Caster AI are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. Messages are not stored persistently on our servers beyond the current session. Review OpenAI's privacy policy for how they handle input data.

Account and identity: to authenticate you, restore your session, and associate your activity with your wallet address.

Platform services: to display your profile, feed, communities, and balances; to process $CASTER rewards; to execute or relay onchain transactions on your behalf.

Safety and moderation: to detect spam, fraud, CSAM, and other violations of our Terms. Flagged content may be reviewed by human moderators.

Communications: to send in-app notifications, transactional alerts (subscription payments, reward milestones), and platform announcements. We do not send marketing emails without opt-in.

Analytics and improvement: aggregated and anonymized usage metrics to improve Platform performance and feature prioritization.

Legal compliance: to respond to lawful requests from law-enforcement agencies, comply with applicable regulations, and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal data.

Third-party service providers: Reown AppKit (embedded wallet infrastructure), OpenAI (Caster AI chat), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Polymarket (Cast Predictions market data), Avantis (Casterperps). Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies.

Blockchain networks: Base Mainnet transactions are permanently public and irreversible. Wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and token amounts associated with onchain actions are visible to anyone.

Law enforcement: we will disclose data if required by a valid legal order, subpoena, or to prevent imminent harm.

Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data may be transferred to the successor entity under terms no less protective than this policy.

External wallets: we never have access to the private key or seed phrase of externally connected wallets (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc.).

Embedded wallets: private keys for embedded wallets created via social or email login are managed by Reown AppKit's secure enclave. You can export your private key at any time from Settings → Connected Account → Export Private Key / Seed Phrase. We strongly recommend storing your exported key in a secure offline location.

$CASTER L1 ledger entries are permanent and append-only by design. They cannot be deleted.

Social content (posts, replies, profile data) is retained until you delete it or we remove it under our moderation rules.

Creator media is retained until you delete it from the creator dashboard or your account is terminated.

Device and analytics data is retained for up to 90 days.

AI chat sessions are not persistently stored on our servers; OpenAI's retention policies apply to data processed through their API.

Account data (address, username, social identifiers) is retained for as long as your account is active and for up to 2 years after account closure for legal compliance purposes.

Access: you can export your posts, transactions, and account data at any time from Settings → Data Management → Export your data.

Correction: you can update your username, display name, avatar, and bio from your Profile page.

Deletion: you may request deletion of your profile data and social content by contacting us at privacy@casterchain.online. Note that $CASTER L1 ledger entries and onchain transactions cannot be deleted.

Portability: your exported data is provided in JSON format.

Restriction and objection: if you are located in the EU/EEA you may have additional rights under GDPR. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Do Not Track: we respect browser DNT signals where technically feasible.

We implement HMAC-SHA256 checksums on ledger entries, JWT-based session authentication, and HTTPS-only transport. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted.

No security system is perfect. We encourage you to use a strong password for your email provider, enable two-factor authentication on your social login provider, and export and safely store your embedded-wallet private key.

The Platform is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately at privacy@casterchain.online and we will remove the account.

The Platform is operated from servers in the United States and/or European Union. By using the Platform you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations. We apply appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) when transferring data internationally.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via an in-app notice. The updated effective date will be shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
